Overview
About this retreat
A journey to your inner self - and an unforgettable, deeply moving retreat in a fascinating landscape. The silent, vast desert. A place full of depth that invites you to connect with yourself, your tenderness, and your true being. In a safe and supportive circle, we journey together with Berbers and their dromedaries across the vast expanse - in the natural rhythm of the land and its inhabitants. It is an invitation to leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind for a while and to hear nature breathe. Simply gaze into the waves of the desert, smell the vastness, and bathe in the moonlight, touched by the stars in your heart. The simplicity of the desert allows you to find peace. Space opens up for awareness, clarity, letting go, and simply being. The desert does not judge; it expects nothing of you - it simply lets you be. Accompanied by earth-connected nomads, we hike through the landscape, sit by the fire in the evenings, share their delicacies, listen to the songs, and gaze at the clear starry sky. The daily practice of yoga, breathing, and meditation guides us, as do healing arts and transformative rituals. We share our experiences, enter into silence, and listen to our hearts. The profound impact of the desert and our practice intertwine and complement one another. They make small miracles possible. I will guide you through this journey by creating an open, mindful space where you can fully connect with yourself. Using elements of yoga, breathing, meditation, and the healing arts, I create a framework that supports you in listening inward, letting go, and realigning yourself. It is important to me that everything is allowed to be present, at your own pace and in your own way. Supported by the power of the desert and the community, a space for genuine encounter emerges - with yourself and with what moves you. A typical day in the desert • Morning yoga, breathing, and meditation • Delicious breakfast with fresh bread • 3-4 hours of walking and, if desired, riding through the desert in the morning • The dromedaries carry our luggage • Refined lunch • Afternoon time for rest and simply being • Late afternoon: healing arts, ritual, meditation, or heart circle • 1 silent walk focusing on a theme • 1 encounter with the dromedaries • Delicious dinner • In the evening: being present, singing, laughing, or sitting in silence by the fire • Night in a tent or under the stars ~~~~~~~~ Eine Reise zu dir selbst – und ein unvergessliches, tief berührendes Retreat in faszinierender Landschaft.

“As I rode slowly deeper and deeper into the desert, something truly beautiful happened. Slowly, from the back of the camel, the desert came to me and into me. Nothing had to be done; everything was taken care of by the Bedouins and Iris. Everything became more expansive, and in the end, the nature of the desert and the camel merged with me. The starry sky stretched a canopy over me, and I was part of both the small and the vast universe.” – Harriet
“A few camels, the Bedouins, and us. This walking in silence, sometimes riding the camels, cooking together while resting by the fire, then moving on again: it’s truly an encounter with the incredibly beautiful and varied landscape. But it’s also an encounter with oneself. How little it takes to be happy: everything you need is on the camels’ backs. A cup of tea, homemade bread… And then the nights under that beautiful starry sky! That’s when you really get in touch with what matters. And then waking up to the smell of the fire because one of the Bedouins is already making tea: it’s fantastic! I can wholeheartedly recommend this trip.” – Simon
“Iris is ‘laughter, lightness, and joy’… I had the privilege of experiencing a wonderful journey with her in the mountains and the Sinai Desert. The program, the itinerary, and the organization were perfect. We were surrounded by beautiful nature and moving yoga sessions. Back to our roots and to ourselves, amidst warm-hearted people… I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Ahmed and Farag, our Bedouin guides. We felt safe and well taken care of at all times. An unforgettable and enriching experience. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!” – Sandra

About Iris
“Where there is love, life comes alive.” – Gandhi Spaces for depth, awareness, and connection - so you can find yourself and truly live your life. I love being in nature, moving, laughing, being creative, dancing, and experiencing life in all its depth and lightness. I enjoy socializing just as much as I do silence and solitude - those spaces where what truly matters becomes tangible again. My path has led me from education through meditation, Shiatsu, and yoga, as well as bodywork, creative process work, hypnosis, and various techniques for healing and self-awareness, to a practice that has emerged from genuine experience and continues to evolve. For 20 years now, I have been guiding people as a catalyst, and for 12 years in retreats. You’ve come to the right place if you want to explore, understand, and expand yourself further. If you want to get closer to your true self - with your feet on the ground and your head in the clouds. If you’re looking for a safe and clear framework for this - guided by intuition and deep knowledge, with the ability to read between the lines and to accompany people lovingly and clearly, like a seismograph. I don’t create spaces that are about seeking thrills or having some kind of special experience. I’m not interested in collecting yet another spiritual experience. I’m interested in spaces where people can reconnect with themselves. Spaces for depth, expansiveness, and awareness. For a life with more authenticity, more joy, and to feel alive.
