Privacy Policy

What we collect when you browse, book or host, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. No surprises.

Last updated · September 8, 2026

The short version

The essentials in thirty seconds. The numbered sections below carry the full detail.

  • We collect what a booking needs

Your name, email, phone, the details of what you book or list, your messages and reviews, plus basic device and usage data.

  • We never see your card or bank details

Payments go straight to Stripe. Host payouts go through Stripe or Payoneer. They hold the financial details, we hold the status.

  • We share only to run the platform

Hosts and guests see each other's booking details. A short list of trusted providers helps us with payments, email, maps, images and AI.

  • Non-essential cookies are opt-in

Analytics and marketing cookies run only if you say yes in the cookie banner. You can change your mind any time from Cookie settings in the footer.

  • You are in control

Download a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account from your settings. Unsubscribe from marketing with one click.

  • Data lives in the United States

We are a US company and our systems are hosted there. For people in the EU and UK we use standard contractual clauses to protect transfers.

This Privacy Policy explains what GoToRetreats, LLC ("GoToRetreats", "we", "us") collects when you use https://www.gotoretreats.com and our services, why we collect it, who we share it with and the rights you have. It applies to guests, hosts and visitors. For GDPR purposes we are the data controller.

Kaya, our support assistant, and features that help write or improve listings are powered by OpenAI and Groq. The text you type, and the context needed to answer, is sent to them to generate a reply. Your support conversations are stored on our own systems so you can come back to them and our team can step in. We do not use your conversations to train AI models, and our providers' API terms do not allow them to either.

7. Where your data is stored
