About this certification program

Our 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training is an advanced, immersive programme designed for 200HR certified teachers who are ready to evolve and refine their practice and teaching skills. Rooted in the traditional teachings of the Himalayas and guided by our senior teaching team led by Yogacharya Lalit, this training offers a deeper, more expansive exploration of yoga. Set in our tranquil centre in Goa, India, the training provides the perfect environment to study, reflect, and grow. You’ll refine your understanding of alignment, sequencing, philosophy, pranayama, meditation, and teaching methodology—emerging as a confident, advanced-level teacher with a stronger voice and a deeper connection to your own practice and students.

Goa Airports: Monahar (GOX) Dabolim International (GOI) Trainees and Retreat guests are well looked after by our administration team from the first point of contact until they are settled in the surroundings of the centre. Our team will arrange airport transfers for you with one of our trusted drivers who have been with us for a long time. Your name will be on a Himalaya Yoga Valley welcome board at Arrivals. Our centre is approximately 90 minutes from Goa’ airport in the South and 40 minutes from Mopa Aiport in the North.

About Lalit Kumar

I am the Founding Director of Himalaya Yoga Valley and lead all 200-hour and 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training Programs at our school. As the lead teacher on all educational programs at Himalaya Yoga Valley, I divide my time between our Goa Centre and our European Centre in Ireland, delivering 200- and 500-hour trainings. My yoga journey began at the age of 7, studying in traditional Indian yoga schools known as Gurukulams. I’ve had the honour of learning under some of India’s most respected and renowned yoga Masters. In 2003, I was initiated by Swami Veda Bharti of the Himalayan tradition. Over nearly a decade, I immersed myself in various traditional styles and disciplines across Ashrams in both North and South India. My studies include Ashtanga Yoga in Mysore at Ashtanga Yoga Nilaya and Shri Parakala Mutt. I have also trained at the Sivananda Centre in Trivandrum and spent my formative spiritual years at Swami Ram Sadak Gurukulam in Rishikesh. I have been fortunate to study under Sri B.K.S. Iyengar, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Sri Sharath Jois, and Sri B.N.S. Iyengar. I continue my training in Mysore with Sharath Jois, remaining a humble and devoted student.
