Welcome to a 5 acre paradise comprising of 2 large houses, a private hiking trail and common space for group activities. The property offers the most mesmerizing views of the Shasta lake, the hills, beautiful sunrises, total privacy & tranquility in a picturesque setting. A marina is located right below the property for rental & private boat launches. Just 2.5 miles from Interstate I-5, grocery, restaurants and gas/ EV. Family reunions, friend gatherings and yoga retreats for 18 adults & kids! The space This picturesque retreat comprises of 2 large houses and a common space for group activities located right between the two houses. All these spaces are located on a 5 acre hillside estate with amazing lake views from multiple decks, patios, living rooms, bedrooms, dining areas, and garden areas. We even have a private hiking trail on-site with lake views and possible deer sightings! This is truly a unique setup well suited for family reunions, friend gatherings, business off-sites, church groups and yoga retreats. The two houses can sleep a total of 18 adults plus kids under 16 years of age, with 12 guests in the lower house, and 9 guests in the upper house. Below is a breakdown for the key features of all the 3 spaces mentioned above. The Upper house (The Zen Paradise): - The Zen Paradise is our premium property offering 2800 sq ft of living space with the most breathtaking views of Shasta Lake. - 2 large wrap around decks, 2 large living rooms, formal dining room, large kitchen with gas stove, 3 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms - Master suite with fireplace, soaking tub and walk-in closet - The house is fully furnished with premium furniture, beds, linens, kitchenware, appliances, piano, pool table, hammock, BBQ grill, outdoor shower, etc. - 65 inches TV w/ premium Sound-bar - Dimmable lights in every room - Comfortably sleeps 9 (3 queen beds, 1 bunk bed w/ twin over full bed) - High speed satellite wifi throughout the house The Lower house (The Zen House): - A large house offering 2400 sq ft of living space and an additional 1000 sq ft of fully covered entertainment space, with the main house offering amazing Shasta Lake views. - 1 large deck, 1 small deck, 1 patio, garden area, a large water fountain, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, furnished kitchen w/ electric stove. - A large entertainment room w/ pool table, ping pong table & a projector w/ giant screen. - 2 Master suites w/ amazing lake views, one with fireplace, and another one with a soaking tub - The house is fully furnished with TV, furniture, beds, linens, kitchenware, appliances, hammock, BBQ grill, etc. - Comfortably sleeps 12 (1 King, 3 Queen, & 2 Full Beds) - High speed satellite wifi throughout the house. The common group activity place (The Zen Space): - The Zen Space is the group activity space centrally located between the two large houses, designed specifically for hosting group activities. - It has a large deck with lake views and can easily hold 20 people for yoga, taking group pictures or just hanging out with your team or loved ones. - This space has a small Yurt for entertainment, a beautiful gazebo, an outdoorsy sitting area with fireplace, a BBQ grill, a hammock, and an outdoor bathroom with toilet, shower, sink and hot water. - The Zen Space has been designed to offer a clear, unobstructed view of the lake & surrounding hills with beautiful sunrises on the lake. - And yes, there’s also a short private hiking trail with lake views and possible deer sightings that's located on this space. - The space has a pretty decent Wifi availability too. Guest access Access to the two houses is via digital locks, so no keys are needed to access the houses. Guests have full access to the 5 acre estate with available parking spots as follows: - 5 cars can be parked at the lower house - 4 cars can be parked at the upper house - 1 large boat parking garage is located at the bottom of the hill across the street from the marina. Other things to note A few things to note for your stay: - Water levels in the Shasta lake vary by season and rains in a given year. We are located in the deepest part of the upper part of the Sacramento Arm of Shasta Lake, and have great views of the lake even when the water levels drop. However, it is important to note that the lake views can vary depending on water levels and the season of visit. - Our property is located on the hillside and does require driving up a small hill on a private road. - Although our property is very private, we do expect guests to drive slow on the private road leading to our property and maintain lower sound levels after 10 pm. - The max occupancy of each of the houses listed above needs to be respected, with no more than 12 guests in any of the two houses at any given time. We have provided a common group activity area between the two houses which should be used for conducting activities with your group or extended family. - Please follow the house rules outlined in the check-in manual.
